It's official! The 2008 ThanXgiving Youth Social will take place on Saturday nite, November 22nd! And for the first time ever, the event comes to the West Hollywood Park Auditorium. The free event will consist of free food, live youth performances, giveaways, and more!

THE LATEST ON MOP16!
Have you heard the news!? ModelsOfPride.org just launched an all new web site with all sorts of new features, photos, and info on this year's event!
MOP16 is a 1-day
free conference for LGBTQ youth and their allies. The day is filled
with workshops, free food, networking opportunities, live youth

THANKS FOR COMING TO MY EVENT!
We would like to thank the over 125 youth who showed up to "MY Event" last nite! Everyone in attendance had a great time and enjoyed a live DJ & dance, free food,free HIV testing, community resources, and more. The nite was highlighted by the over 100 tickets that we gave away for the LA Pride Festival. We would also like to take a moment to thank all of our community partners and volunteers for helping make this event a success.

YOUTH SUMMIT 2008
Where are you going to be @ on June 7th!?
Whatever you do, make sure that you check out the the 2008 Youth Summit @ L.A. Valley College! This free event will feature workshops on college, meth, the history of Chicano Studies, immigration, and more!
Registration is at 9:00am and the summit runs from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

CUPID DRAWS 200 PEOPLE!
We would like to thank everyone who attended Cupid's KickBack 2 last night. By the end of the nite, nearly 200 youth from all over Southern California attended this pre-St. Valentine's event. Tons of raffles and giveways were held and we also enjoyed a free BBQ. The DJ & the dancing were equally as entertaining, as the dance floor was never empty.
On behalf of the WeHo Teen Center and everyone @ C.I.T.Y. x1, thanks for attending and supporting this community event.

EXPRESS YOURSELF
Join the WeHo Teen Center as they present "Chalk Art in the Park: A Festival for Families" on Saturday, May 10th, 2008 at Plummer Park from 11:00am-4:00pm.
Join them for a celebration of "The Wonders of the World", as they turn sidewalks into canvases of color. There will be raffles, prizes, face painting, and entertainment for the whole family. You can also shop for handmade crafts and sample some great food too!

Have you heard about In The Moment? This is the new series playing over @ WeHoLife.org. The online web series follows the lives of a group of gay guys living in the same apartment complex in West Hollywood, California. Like most of us, they're faced with a huge range of decisions about sex, and the decisions they make impact their lives and the lives of people around them.

Special thanks go out to the over 75 people who showed up to the 4th annual Egg Nogg Youth Social. All who were in attendance enjoyed free junk food, 2 live youth performances, community resources, raffles, and of course...free egg nogg! We'll see you guys again in 2008!

THANX FOR SHOWING UP!
We would like to thank everyone who showed up to the 2007 ThanXgiving Youth Social on November 17th. We had over 175 people in attendance and had a blast at our 5th annual dinner. The evening consisted of 3 live youth performances, a catered turkey dinner, several community organizations providing resources for youth, and a special visit from City Councilmember Abbe Land.

NEEDED FOR SUNSET JUNCTION STREET FESTIVAL
Youth from
C.I.T.Y. x1 will be attending this year's Sunset Junction Street
Festival! We
will have our own booth at the event and will be promoting our upcoming
birthday party. The festival will take place on Saturday, August
18th and Sunday, August 19th in Silverlake. Over 60,000 people attend
the event, so don't miss out!
